Robert Simmons Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 12, 2025.
Robert Glen Simmons Jr., 55, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025.

Born on January 6, 1970, in Gallipolis, Ohio, Robert was the son of Robert Glen Simmons Sr. and Patricia Franklin. He was raised with love, strong values, and deep family roots that guided him throughout his life.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator and took great pride in his craft. He enjoyed working on cars, and one of his dream projects was restoring a Chevy Chevelle. Robert will always be remembered for his funny, lighthearted personality and the way he could make anyone laugh.

Robert's heart belonged to his family. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't talk proudly about his kids each one meant the world to him. And when he became a grandpa, that love only grew stronger. His grandchildren lit up his life, and he adored them with everything he had. To his family, he was more than a father and grandfather he was their steady place, their laughter, and their comfort. His love will be felt for the rest of their lives.

He is survived by his four adult children: Robert Glen Simmons III, Kathleen Simmons, Jacob Simmons, and James Davies, who will continue to honor his memory. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, his two brothers, Raymond and Richard Simmons, his mother, and a large circle of friends and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

Though Robert has left this world, his love, his laughter, and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His presence was a gift, and the impact he made will never fade.

May he rest in paradise, and may his family find comfort in knowing that his love will walk beside them always.
