Robert James Sinay, 69, of West Newton, died on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025. He was born in McKeesport on June 27, 1956, and is the son of the late Steve and Alice Minnick Sinay. He was the owner and operator of the former Sinay's Salvage in West Newton. Robert enjoyed watching WWE wrestling, riding his Harley Davidson, and taking care of his farm. Robert is survived by his children, Jason (Kelly Susa) of Elizabeth and Samantha (Anthony) Zecchini of Port Vue; grandchildren, Hunter Sinay, Will Sinay, Luca Zecchini, and Giada Zecchini; sister, Kathy Holmes of Dravosburg; brother, David (Katie) Sinay of Lugoff, SC; brother-in-law, Thomas Dalton of McHenry, MD; and significant other, Rose Whithers of Monongahela. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Sandy Sinay Dalton, JoAnn Desmuke, and Thomas Sinay. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Robert's memory from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at STRIFFLERS OF DRAVOSBURG/WEST MIFFLIN INC., 740 Pittsburgh McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, PA 15034 (412-678-6192).
