Ronald J. Sinay, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born on February 8, 1936 to the late John and Virginia (Perretta) Sinay in Canton Ohio. He graduated from Timken High School in 1954. He then proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years. Ron and his wife Gloria celebrated 63 years of marriage this past July. Ron was well known in Massillon as the owner of the Venice Spaghetti House for many years. Following this, he worked in management for Buckeye Trophy before retiring to fully enjoy the company of his loved ones. Ron lived a life filled with love, commitment, and community.
A devoted member of Divine Mercy Parish, Ron was deeply engaged in his faith and community. He was admired not just for his achievements, but also for his sense of humor. Ron was proud of his children and grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria, his children Amy (Derrick) Yannayon, Nicholas (Michelle) Sinay, Michael (Denise) Sinay, and Stefanie (Matthew) Myers, his brother Gerald Sinay, and his sister Judy Glasser. Ron's family also includes his grandchildren Spencer (Tara) Seckman, Briana Bessler, Trisha Sinay, Joseph Sinay, Michael (Amanda) Sinay, Carly Sinay, Samantha Sinay, and Ila Myers as well as his great-granddaughters Gianna, Alivia, and Celia who all continue to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by mother and father-in-law John D. and Laura Ferrero, grandson Jesse Sinay, and sister Delphine "Dolly" Hussar.
The family expresses special thanks to Laura and Tracy from Aultman Hospice for their compassionate care during Ron's final days.
Ron will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Homes in Massillon on September 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on September 12, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will follow at Divine Mercy Parish (St. Joseph) at 11:00 AM, with burial to take place at St. Joseph Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
