Robert Sofka Obituary
Robert was born in Poughkeepsie on December 8, 1958, he was the son of the late Thaddeaus and the late Diane Pizzarelli Sofka.
Robert was a local resident all of his life. He attended Arlington High School and then served in the US Army.
Robert was a Corrections Officer for the Dutchess County Sheriff's Department, retiring in 2010.
Robert was a past member of the Mid-County Rod and Gun Club. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, hunting, and fishing.
Robert is survived by his son Ryan J. Sofka and his girlfriend Maeghan Casale of Poughkeepsie, his daughter Kimberly D. Sofka of Lagrange, his grandson Thaddeaus Sofka, and he was predeceased by his sister Linda.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday June 2, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York.
Funeral Service with Military Honors will follow at 7pm.
Burial will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
Memorial donations can be made to Vet2Vet, 1335 Suite 3 Route 44 Pleasant Valley, New York 12569.
