Robert Franklin Spears, age 76, of Bethpage, TN, went home to be with his heavenly Father April 4, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born October 28, 1948 to the late Tandy Edgar and Maddie Lucille Anderson Spears in Bethpage, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Phyllis Smith Spears; his sister, Elizabeth Troutt Sadler; and his brothers, Walter "Buck" Spears, Paul "Buddy" Spears, Tandy "W.T." Spears, Jerry Donald Spears, Hugh Allen Spears and Michael Eugene Spears.
He is survived by his children Terry L. Spears, Jerry L. Spears, and Heather Spears all of Bethpage, TN; his grandchildren, Jared Spears, Miken Freeman and Adriana Spears all of Bethpage, TN; his brother Charles (Sherry) Spears of Franklin, KY; and his sister, Barbara Faye (Mike) Harmon of Clarksville, TN.
Robert left us with a testimony of being saved several years ago during a long hospital stay at Baptist Hospital. His children, grandchildren and family were his pride and joy in life. He loved them dearly.
Funeral services for Mr. Spears will be conducted on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 at 1PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Dusty Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the Crestview Memory Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers will be Terry Spears, Jerry Spears, Jared Spears, Miken Freeman, Kenneth Wilson, Josh Mayhew and Christian Carter.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 9th from 10AM till service time at 1PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
