Robert Wayne Spencer "Bob", 73, of Bluffdale, Utah passed away at his home on November 9th, 2025.
He was born on May 13th, 1952 in Murray, Utah to Merlin A. and Delorus Spencer. He graduated from Bingham High School in 1970. He married Valerie Ann McKee on April 30th, 1971. He began his career at Intermountain Farmers before moving into residential and later commercial construction, where he specialized in cement work. His strong work ethic and craftmanship earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
After retiring in 2022, he devoted himself to caring for his wife, Val, providing her with love and support until his passing. A true outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, camping, boating, waterskiing and spending time in his garden. He also took great pride in grilling for family gatherings.
His greatest joy in life was being a father and grandpa. He was especially proud of his two daughters, whose lives he enriched with his wisdom, humor, skill, and love, his strength and devotion to his family will be remembered and cherished always.
He is Survived by his loving wife Valerie, daughters Wendy K, Spencer and Laura Spencer (Kevin Carroll). His 8 grandchildren, Chazley, Danielle, Preston, Austin, Spencer, Hayden, Siara and Miranda. He was blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Anthony, Hailey, Phoenyx, Memphis and another on the way. His sisters Diane Limb and Jackie Trayner. He leaves behind his faithful canine companions Winchester and Daisy Mae.
He is Preceded in death by his parents Merlin A. and Delorus Spencer; his brothers Michael Spencer and Merlin "Dell" Spencer.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Redwood Memorial Mortuaries and Cemeteries located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah, 84123. An evening viewing will be held on Thursday, November 13th, 2025 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the same location.
A luncheon will take place at 4:00 PM following the graveside service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 14662 South 3200 West, Bluffdale, Utah.
