Robert Spiewak Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Vistoso Funeral Home on Jul. 29, 2024.
Robert F. Spiewak, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on July 23, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents Francis and Helen, Bob is survived by his wife Sandy, his children, John (Susan Weinstein) Spiewak, Mike (Liz) Spiewak, Robert (Beret Malmgren) Spiewak, and Mary Spiewak, six grandchildren, and stepchildren Eryn (Jeff) Tyrrell, Katie (Robert) Padilla, and Kirin Gibson, seven step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild. Bob leaves cherished memories among his family and friends.
Bob was born in Chicago, IL and graduated from Mount Carmel High School before attending Northern Illinois University. He was a true people person and thrived in his chosen careers including human resources, corporate management consulting and real estate. His careers took him from Chicago, IL, to Lancaster, PA and Dayton, OH before arriving in Tucson, AZ in 1989. He quickly fell in love with the desert and the Arizona Wildcats football and basketball teams.
During Bob's early days he was actively involved in his Catholic community. One way he contributed to the Tucson community was to help consolidate two successful social service agencies, Our Town and Family Services, into the larger and more comprehensive Our Family Services.
Bob was a consummate host and enjoyed gardening. His outgoing personality and love of cooking were the center of many memorable parties and family gatherings filled with love and laughter.
The family is planning a private celebration of Bob's life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to: Alzheimer's Association, Our Family Services, or Casa de la Luz Hospice.
