Robert (Bob) N. Squillante, 81, of Plymouth, MA, passed away in his home, surrounded by his family on August 5, 2025.
Bob was born on January 11, 1944 in Boston. He was the son of the late Henry and Gertrude (Kaeller) Squillante. He graduated from Boston Technical High School with the class of 1961 and served in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1964-1970. He attended Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University where he studied Mechanical Engineering.
Bob was a loving husband to Janet and a devoted father to Laura (Madden) and her husband William, Jeffrey and his wife Amy, Matthew and his wife Gabrielle, and Jodie (Fawcett) of Plymouth. He was a proud grandfather to Sean and Patrick Madden, Nathaniel and Brynn Squillante, Samuel Squillante, and Molly, Ainsley, and Emily Fawcett.
He is survived by his brother Henry (Sonny) Squillante and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Charles and George Squillante.
Bob retired from The Gillette Company in 2000 where he was a Facilities Engineer for 38 years. He was a skilled draftsman and there wasn't anything he couldn't build or fix. The original DIYer, he enjoyed tinkering in the garage and his yard.
Bob was a lifelong Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing golf. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and found happiness spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass will be held on August 20, at 10:30 am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha, 126 South Meadow Rd, Plymouth.
