Robert "Dennis" Stiers,

Dennis, a veteran of the United States Army, passed away in his home, on June 16, 2025.

Dennis was born on September 20, 1950 in Salem, OR, to parents Frank and Irene. Dennis had 4 brothers: Allan, Dale, Condon and John. Dennis graduated from North Salem High School in 1968. Following high school, he served in the United States Army. Dennis was honorably discharged following injuries sustained during his enlistment. After his military service, Dennis married his first wife, Sherri, and had two children, Chris and Lisa. After his divorce from Sherri, Dennis remarried Lani, who has since passed away.

Throughout his lifetime, Dennis continued his service to the government, working for the city of Salem for several years, and later settling into a long 20-year career with the U.S. Postal Service as a mail handler.

Dennis enjoyed his regularly scheduled poker games, watching the Raiders play football, going camping, and time with friends and family. He will be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help those he loved. He was the first to swing a hammer, build a shed, or shingle a roof. Dennis leaves behind a son, Chris, daughter, Lisa, and brothers Allan and Dale Stiers.

A celebration of life will be held on July 18th, 2025 at 1:00 pm, at Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem, OR. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Robert D. Stiers to the Gary Sinise Foundation, https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/
