Vance Edward Stiers, 21, of Croton, Ohio, passed away suddenly on December 21, 2024. Born on July 27, 2003, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the cherished son of Robert and Melissa Stiers.
Vance is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Melissa Stiers; his brother, Rob Stiers; his girlfriend, Carlie; his sister-in-law, Emily; his grandparents, Linda Swinning and John and Kay Stiers and Ellen and Dick Poulton; as well as numerous aunts, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Curtis Michael Swinning.
Vance was an integral part of the family business, where he worked alongside his father, Robert, and brother, Rob, for the past four years. A proud 2022 graduate of Northridge High School and C-TEC, Vance was also a member of the FFA and the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA).
An adventurous spirit, Vance had a passion for riding dirt bikes, mountain biking, BMX, and longboarding. He also enjoyed painting and spending time with his girlfriend, Carlie, and his family. One of his proudest accomplishments was winning the Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals in 2009, a testament to his talent and determination.
Vance's energy and charisma made him truly one of a kind. He had a natural gift for lighting up any room, making everyone feel welcome, and bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. His unique talents and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Friends and family may gather to celebrate Vance's life on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel. A funeral ceremony will follow on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Bell Cemetery, 20871 Bell Church Rd., Utica, Ohio.
A gathering will take place after the graveside committal service in Babcock Building at the Hartford Fairgrounds.
