Darlene Ankrum-Stultz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel on Feb. 16, 2026.
Darlene K. Ankrum-Stultz, age 67, of Marengo, Ohio passed away peacefully, Friday afternoon, February 13, 2026 at Riverside Hospital.

She was born in Columbus, on May 16, 1958, to the late Charles F. and Beulah Mae (Wilson) Ankrum. She graduated from Highland High School in 1976.

Darlene married the love of her life, Robert Douglas "Doug" Stultz on May 19, 1990, at the Park of Roses in Columbus. Together they shared 35 wonderful years of marriage. Doug, expressed, she was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert "Doug" Stultz, son James D. (Heidi) Hernandez, grandchildren: James and Olivia. She is also survived by sisters, Debbie, Dorothy, Deneise, and Diana, parents-in-law, Bob and Linda (Thompson) Stultz, sister-in-law, Lynn (Andy) Dorman, brother-in-law Rob Stultz, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Workman in 2022, Heather's beloved dog, Wizzer, and her horse Alleycat.

Darlene enjoyed working for Kroger's as a cashier primarily at the Maxtown Rd. location in Westerville. She always took time to talk with customers and spoil little kids with candy. After 30 years with Kroger's, she retired, September 30, 2023. She simply loved working with her extended Kroger family.

She and her husband loved to travel to Amish country, many times each year for both day trips and long weekends.

She also loved cooking, planting flowers, and enjoying spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed going to car shows, showing off her El Camino. She loved helping her husband in the garden, making homemade jam, homemade pickles and taking many of their garden products to farmers markets. She took pleasure in seeing the joy people got from their gardening labors of love.

Kindhearted, she was a people person, and will be remembered for her caring ways and love of family. Darlene will be missed by all.

Friends may call Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, DeVore Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Celebrant Tom Dea'Therage.

Instead of memorial contributions, please do something kind for a little one, perhaps buy them a candy bar in her memory and love.
