Constance "Connie" Madeline Bonnell, age 86, of Westerville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, with her husband by her side. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 19, 1939, to the late Clyde H. Bielstein and Violet L. Bielstein.

Connie married James "Jim" E. Bonnell on August 18, 1962, in Dayton, Ohio. Together they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.

Connie graduated from Otterbein College with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She loved children and enjoyed teaching 2nd grade for 2 years in Dayton and Columbus City Schools and later 17 years as a preschool teacher.

Connie had many interests including gardening, arts and crafts including pine needle basket weaving, and choral singing in Columbus and in The Villages in Florida. She also loved to travel, which included several cruises and numerous National Parks. Connie's warm and friendly smile will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all her friends and family.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Jim Bonnell; son, Michael (Beth) Bonnell; grandchildren, Matthew (Kaitlyn) Bonnell, Andrew (Jessy) Bonnell and Anthony Bonnell; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Jordan and Bryce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Violet Bielstein; her son, David Bonnell; and brother, Henry Bielstein.

Details for a memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
