Robert Warren Stoker, 90, of Manchester, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 25, 1935, in Troy, New York, he was the son of the late Warren Cady Stoker and Ruth E. Gabb.
From a young age, Robert was deeply influenced by the care a sibling received from a chiropractor during a childhood illness. That experience ignited a lifelong passion for healing that shaped the course of his life. After graduating in 1958, he began his chiropractic career in 1959, opening his first practice on Summit Street in Manchester. He later served patients at his Main Street office before ultimately establishing his longtime and well-loved practice on Oakland Street. For decades, he dedicated himself to the well-being of his community with skilled hands, warmth, and unwavering commitment.
Robert was a man of many talents and interests. A gifted jazz pianist, he filled countless gatherings with music and joy. He also found great happiness on the slopes of Vermont, skiing well into his eighties with a zest for life that inspired those around him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Lois Stoker; his children Robert G. Stoker and wife Karen, Judy Pearl and husband Kevin, and Doug Stoker and wife Katherine; and his grandchildren Amy Dougan and husband Paul, Andrew Pearl, Alan Pearl and fiancé Rachel, Brooke Stoker, Morgan Trigo and husband Tom, Michael Stoker, Daniel Stoker, Joe Pearl, Jenna Stoker, and James Stoker. He also leaves behind his cherished great-grandchildren, Henry and Elliot, who brought him immense joy.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home of Manchester.
