Batavia - Robert W. Stokes, left us on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Born on October 4, 1968, Robert was a lifelong resident of Batavia.

Robert is survived by his loving father, Erwin Stokes Sr., as well as his cherished siblings: brothers Erwin Stokes Jr., Michael Stokes, and James (Julie Kosko) Stokes, and his sister Debra Stokes, all residing in Batavia. He also leaves behind his dear aunt, Sharon Stokes, and his beloved nephews, Andrew, Jacob, and Nathan Stokes. Robert is predeceased by his mother, Jean Stokes.

Embracing life with a love for antique cars, Robert regularly attended car shows, finding joy and connection in this shared interest. He was a dedicated truck driver throughout his career, most recently working with Tompkins Metal Finishing in Batavia. When not on the road, Robert could often be found fishing or enjoying quality time with family and friends, activities that brought him immense joy and peace.

Robert proudly served his country as a member of the Army, embodying a dedication and loyalty that he carried into all aspects of his life.

Family and friends are invited to attend Robert's visitation on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 4 to 7:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street in Batavia. He will be laid to rest privately in Western New York National Cemetery in Pembroke with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Robert's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at https://t2t.org, a cause that meant a great deal to him.

Robert W. Stokes will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his commitment to those he loved, and his unwavering dedication to his work and passions. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
