ROBERT ROLAND STUPLICH

Robert Stuplich, 77, of Crawford, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025. Born on October 7, 1947, in Wausau, Wisconsin, he embraced a life full of exploration and adventure. He was a student of Philosophy and Theology, leading him to become a world traveler, philanthropist, artifact hunter, and advanced intrepid scout. He enjoyed skiing, biking, 4-wheeling, hunting, fishing, farming, mountain climbing, deep sea diving and a wide variety of team sports. He was a skilled photographer, inspiring storyteller, visionary dreamer and esteemed mentor. Robert, affectionately called "Papa" by his children and grandchildren, took solace in nature and animals, and demonstrated respectable work ethic. He was an intelligent businessman, excelling in real estate in Crested Butte for decades. He spent the last 15+ years of his life raising and selling yaks on his ranch in Western Colorado. Robert was a devoted son to his parents, Roland and Lucille Stuplich. He is survived by his daughters, Stacey (Paul) Weldin and Shannon (Paul) Holder; his sisters, Nancy (Richard) Torrans and Lou Ann (Dave) Corda; and grandchildren, Jack, Abby, Joshua, and Andrew. A small Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, August 17th, at his Crawford home. He will be remembered and missed by many.
