Robert K Suchovsky

Robert K. Suchovsky, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and long-standing pillar of the Mishawaka community, passed away peacefully in his hometown on May 18, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on June 21, 1958, in Mishawaka, IN, he was a man whose roots ran deep in the place he always called home.
Robert's life was a testament to enduring love and family devotion. He married the love of his life, Kathy (Edmonson) Suchovsky, on December 10, 1978, in Mishawaka, where they built a life filled with joy and the laughter of children and grandchildren. He was the beloved son of Joann (Shaw) Charzan and the late Charles Holcomb. He fondly remembered his roots, giving back to his community and nurturing his family, including his daughters, Kimberly (Steven) Smith, and Deanna Whittaker, as well as his adored grandchildren, Breanna, Alexis, Kyanna, Ethan, Kason, and Bentley, who brought him great joy. Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law Robert and Delores Edmonson
Robert was a proud graduate of Mishawaka High School, class of 1978, and dedicated over 45 years to maintaining the beauty of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center's grounds. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his love for his own lawn, which was a point of pride and beauty.
Besides his work, Robert's heart was happiest when surrounded by family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored immensely. His passion for camping led him to many warm, star-filled nights at Mini Mountain in New Carlisle. And back at home, he could often be found tinkering in his garage, always with a ready smile for anyone who passed by.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the entire staff of Michiana Hematology Oncology and the staff on the 6th floor at St Joseph Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. Services will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior. All visitation and services will be held at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. Mishawaka, IN 46545. Procession to Fairview cemetery will immediately follow the service to take Robert to his final resting place.
