Robert Alan Swallow

Robert Alan Swallow, born on August 18, 1955, in Montana, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, in Wiggins, Mississippi. His journey through life was characterized by a commitment to service, a vibrant spirit, and a nurturing heart.

Robert joined the Navy immediately after high school, serving with the Seabees, where he honed his skills as a truck mechanic. His dedication during his military service was recognized with the National Defense Service Medal and the Expert Rifleman Medal, and he had the honor of serving overseas in various countries. Upon completing his military service, Robert transitioned into civilian life, spending 19 fulfilling years at Pine Burr Golf Course, where his passion for working outdoors flourished. Following that chapter, he embraced the open road, working as a truck driver for approximately 25 years.

More than just a career, Robert was known for his infectious smile and an ability to brighten any room with his wit and charm. He was always the one with an engaging story to tell, often accompanied by a hearty laugh that could lift the spirits of those around him. While busy with his various responsibilities, he consistently found time to lend a hand to friends and family, embodying loyalty that endeared him to many.

Robert’s interests extended beyond his professional life. He had a deep appreciation for working with wood, and his creative spirit shone through in his love for painting and drawing. Additionally, he found joy in trains, a hobby that connected him to the intricate workings of machinery and the beauty of craftsmanship.

Robert leaves behind a legacy of kindness and joy that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
