Robert Jason Tate, 55, of Gas City, Indiana, passed away peacefully with his beloved bulldog, Eleanor by his side at 8:21 PM on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at his parents' home in Van Buren, Indiana. He was born on Wednesday, December 10, 1969, in Keego Harbor, Michigan to Robert L. and Diana L. Tate. Bob attended West Bloomfield High School in West Bloomfield, Michigan and Eastbrook High School in rural Marion, Indiana. Bob was in the Ironworkers Local #147 and then went on to graduate from Indiana University with an associate's degree in science and radiology. He worked for MobileX USA and enjoyed going to concerts with friends and family and driving his golf cart around town. He will always be remembered for his hard work ethic and sense of humor.

Loving survivors include, parents Robert L. & Diana L. (Sloat) Tate, Van Buren, IN, Son Robert Jason Tate, Dry Ridge, KY, daughter Erin (Andrew) Nordheim, Erlanger, KY, brother David Tate, Roanoke, VA, sister - Robin (Todd) Holmes, White Lake, MI, granddaughter Izabella Tate and loyal companion, his bulldog, Eleanor. He was preceded in death by his infant son David K. Tate in 1991.

Robert was laid to rest with his son David at the Van Buren Cemetery on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with Pastor Tony Miner officiating an intimate family graveside service.

Arrangements are being handled by Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home in Van Buren.
