Robert William Taylor Jr.

Robert "Bob" William Taylor Jr. of Sykesville, Maryland passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born on September 30, 1946, to the late Robert William Taylor Sr. and the late Sadie Lee Parnell Taylor in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Bob served in the United States Air Force, and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He loved serving his country. He looked forward to attending the annual Veterans dinner at Oakland United Methodist Church and would attend services when he could. Bob was an extremely hard working man, and dedicated his life to his country, work, and his family. He worked as a lifelong restaurant manger in several high volume restaurant chains. When he had time to relax, Bob enjoyed watching old favorite shows, such as M.A.S.H., The Andy Griffith Show, and NCIS. Bob enjoyed his morning texts with Joanie.He looked forward to the annual Sibling Vacations that he and his family went on. Bob was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He took great pride in taking care of and providing for his family. Bob was married for almost 40 years to his wife Sandra. Bob leaves behind his wife Sandy, and his three beloved sons, William "Bill" Robert and his wife Susan, Scott Martin, and Nicholas Adam. He is survived by his adoring Grandchildren: Ethan Michael, Samantha Jean, Hailee Rae, and Cody Jay Taylor. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Elizabeth Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother Christopher Lee Taylor. He was a kind friend to all he met, he will be greatly missed.
The family will be receiving friends on Monday January 27, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 P.M., with a funeral service following at 2:00 P.M. at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland 21784
