Robert Taylor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory on Mar. 20, 2026.
Robert Earl Taylor, born on January 5, 1932, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, at the age of 94. A devoted family man and esteemed community member, Robert's unwavering faith and joyous spirit left a mark on all who knew him.

Robert was a true patriot, having proudly served in the United States Army for three years. Following his service, he became the owner of Taylor Tree Service, where his hard work and integrity were evident to all who did business with him.

A committed Christian, Robert was known for his deep love for the Lord. He lived his life with an open heart, always sharing positivity and warmth. His infectious laughter and ever-present whistle were a testament to his glass-half-full outlook on life. Robert never spoke ill of anyone, choosing instead to uplift those around him, often referring to himself as "the greatest showman" for his love of entertaining and making others smile.

In his leisure time, Robert was a passionate lover of antique cars, finding joy in their history and craftsmanship. He approached every day with enthusiasm and gratitude, living without regrets and inspiring those around him to do the same.

Robert is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty J. Anderson Taylor, and second wife, Margie Nell Burdette Taylor; his siblings Marcus Taylor, Doris Lanier, Mildred Jones, and Linda Whitlock; and his stepdaughter Barbara Brand.

He is survived by his children Cheryl and Mike Cater, Carol and Danny Moore, Debbie and Ed Nicholson, and Donna and Kenny Wright; his grandchildren Brent (Kimi), Casey (Ewa), Josh (Monica), Michelle (Paul), Amber, Robby (Diana), Taylor (Gabby), Trevor (Ella Claire), Natalie (Brent), and Richard (Tammy); along with 13 cherished great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother Carl and sister-in-law Sally Taylor, his stepchildren Onas Brand, Jack and Vickie Jackson, and Jill and Brian Phillips; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to honor Robert's memory on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 3 o'clock at Peachtree City Christian Church, with Dr. George Dillard and Gary Claborn officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home.

Robert Earl Taylor will be remembered for his unwavering faith, joyful spirit, and the love he shared with all whose lives he touched. His legacy of kindness and positivity will endure through those who were blessed to know him.
