Louisa Squire Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory on Mar. 12, 2026.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Louisa Squire, affectionately known to many as "Regina," who departed this life on February 5, 2026, at the age of 71. Born in Accra, Ghana, on August 20, 1954, Regina lived a life marked by resilience and unwavering faith.

Regina received her early education at Radiant Way and graduated from Krobo High School. Her journey then led her to serve as a secretary in the government sector, demonstrating her commitment to her community and her nation.

In the 1980s, Regina embarked on a new chapter in London, where she embraced the role of wife and mother with grace and dedication. It was here she welcomed her first daughter, Edwina Mensah, into the world. In pursuit of further opportunities and dreams, Regina moved to the United States, where she met her second husband, Mr. Yankah. Together, they built a home in Virginia and celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Edlyn Yankah, in 1999.

Regina's journey continued across America, eventually settling in Georgia, where she purchased a home and created a nurturing environment for her beloved daughters. Throughout her life, Regina exhibited an indomitable spirit, raising her children as a devoted single mother while bravely battling cancer for 34 years.

Her professional career in the United States included her dedicated service as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Georgia Department of Behavioral Developmental Disabilities. Regina was known for her tireless work ethic, compassion, and selflessness, touching countless lives with her kindness and strength.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Regina will remember her as a woman of extraordinary faith and a fighter who cherished the beauty of the world, traveling to Italy, France, Germany, and many other places. Her legacy of love and resilience will forever be treasured by her surviving family: her daughters, Edwina Mensah, Edlyn Yankah, and Esther Acquah; and her sisters Gloria Mensah, Melody Mensah, Isabella Mensah, Eunice Dadzie, Barbara F., Josephine Mensah, Dellice Ellison, and Abigail Mensah; nieces and nephews, Manuel Yeboah, Hubert Kofi Kwabi, Natasha Akua Dansowaa Kwabi, Blake Boateng, Flyod Boateng, Llyod Boateng, Prince Michael Boateng, Gilbert Dadzie, Reginald Dadzie, Ghislaine Maame Ebella Dadzie, Caleb Follen, Joshua Follen, Yehudah Faugere, Evangelyne Eliason, Eldridge Eliason, Elishevlyne Eliason, Ethan Eliason, Emmalise Eliason, Eleanor Eliason, Jathniel Jaden Ofori-Ayeh, Makayla Ofousa Ofori-Ayeh. And Lastly I would like to add her Grandchildren Ivan Amo- Mensah, Isabelle Amo- Mensah, & David Amo- Mensah.

Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Owusu officiating. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Though Regina has departed from this world, her spirit and impact endure in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
