Robert K. Terpstra

Robert "Bob" Kenneth Terpstra, born February 13, 1963, passed away on September 29, 2025 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born to Carol and Robert, and brother to Kenneth, he grew up in Clifton, NJ. Bob and his family settled in Vernon, NJ where he was a loving husband to his wife Julie, and father to their two children, Steven and Arielle. Bob was a lifelong fan of the New York Jets and New York Mets, and he had such an outgoing and charismatic personality he could talk about his favorite teams with a person he met for the first time like he had known them for years, and the people close to him knew exactly what he thought of the New York Yankees and New England Patriots. He was considered by his family, friends, and co-workers as nothing less than loyal, selfless, and hard-working. He was always devoted to his family and he took enormous pride in his career of over thirty years with Nielsen-Elefante Nurseries and he applied his landscaping skills at home. Bob's spirit and legacy can be seen and felt everywhere he walked and he will be forever loved, and never forgotten.
A memorial visitation for Bob will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, 11am to 1pm at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07462.
