Robert Therrien, 71, of Henryville, passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Born in Willimantic, CT; he was the son of the late Maurice Therrien and Florance (Carson) Therrien. Robert held a persistent dream for acting, as he attended acting school which led him into many roles in a variety of plays, such as The Tempest, The Comedy of Errors, Dial M for Murder, Hansel and Gretel, Variety Flight, In the Shadow of Glen, The Cherry Orchard, Wilbur The Christmas Mouse, Santa Clause and the Magic Bell, Humpty Dumpty, Lo and Behold, I've Got Sixpence, and The Comedy of Errors. He also appeared as Uncle George in the film Indian Camp and as one of the High-Hats in The Warriors. He toured the country for children's theater and attended the New York Renaissance Festival on multiple occasions as his original character, Father Joseph Barnaby. Being active in the world of theater and film inspired him to write his own screenplay, Gloves and Roses. He then worked at Telecharge in New York City selling tickets to Broadway shows for 27 years.
He also carried a passion for rock and roll music, especially the Beatles; American history, MAD Magazine, the New York Giants, The Oakland Raiders, DC Comics, and cats.
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Veronica Therrien, sister Ruth (Therrien) Roselund, brother-in-law Robert Roselund, nephews Robert and Paul Maurice Roselund, niece Ashley Roselund, and girlfriend Rose Marie Rotondo.
