Robert Louis Thibault (US Air Force, Retired) 1/19/1934-7/20/2024
Robert Louis Thibault, 90, of Navarre, FL, sadly passed away on July 20, 2024, surrounded by family at home.
He was born in Hackensack, NJ in1934 to Louis and Elizabeth (Yuhas) Thibault, where he lived and was educated before entering the United States Air Force where he proudly and honorably served before his retirement in 1976.
Robert was a devoted and loving father to Gary Thibault of Pace, FL; Leslie Adams (Andrew) of Navarre, FL; Greg Thibault (Debbie) of Virginia Beach, VA; and Geoffrey Thibault (Nancy) of Navarre, FL - all who dearly miss him and will forever treasure the life lessons and tremendous wisdom he so lovingly imparted. Also leaving behind to cherish his memory are grandchildren Lisa Hudson (Chad), Sandy Thibault, Dustin Smith, Morgan Tredo (Greg), and great-grandchildren Isabelle, Christian, Bentley, Samantha, Mackenzie, Chloe, and Addelyn. During his life Robert made a tremendous impact on his family, all of whom strive to apply his example in their everyday lives. Now, in his profound absence here on earth, this is the greatest gift to offer.
He took great joy in telling stories of his life's adventures, repeating a joke, solving his impossibly difficult crossword puzzles, listening to music of all genres, and just "figuring things out." Robert was a patient listener, the wisest of men who truly valued conversation.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Evelyn Thibault, whom he lovingly cared for in her last years of life.
A military honors graveside service at Barrancas National Cemetery is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
