Robert "Shane" Thompson, 40, of Pensacola, Florida, was called home August 22, 2025. Shane was raised in Wedowee, AL, but recently came back home to be with his family. Shane was a diehard Auburn fan and enjoyed any time spent with family and friends. He was loyal to a fault to those he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rene' Thompson; grandparents, John and Pat Thompson; and uncle, John "Bubba" Thompson.
He is survived by his sister, Maranda Thompson; brothers, Richie (Shelly) Thompson and Kyle (Zoe) Thompson; "Mom" Claudia Thompson; "Sis" Tammy Holman; aunt, Pam (Link) Entrekin; nephews, Austin, Tommy and James; and nieces, Stephanie, Andrea, Makayla, Raelynn, Raelee, Samantha and Kylie. He is also survived by numerous friends that he considered family.
He will be missed by all that loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Trahan Family Funeral Home. The family asks guests to join them beginning at 3:00 p.m. for the visitation and the service will follow at 4:00 p.m.
