Robert "Bob" Thurman

Robert (Bob) Thurman, age 66, of Mount Selman, Texas, passed away on January 25, 2026. While his passing leaves a gaping absence, anyone who knew him knows he would insist we remember him with a smile.

Born on November 9, 1959, in Galena Park, Texas, to Elbert and Juanita Thurman, Bobby spent his life enjoying his family, classic cars, and classic rock. He was known for showing up for anyone who needed him and for making people laugh when they needed it most; if there was a way to lighten the room, he found it.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his children, Amber, Jason, Kelly, Kenny and their spouses; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five sisters; two brothers; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by loved ones who were very dear to him.

Details on a gathering will be shared at a later date; he would want us to laugh, share stories, and celebrate his life rather than make his memory a solemn affair.

He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
