Robert "Beau" Leonard Tips Jr., of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Park Manor of the Woodlands, The Woodlands, Texas at the age of 69. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 14, 1952, the son of Robert and Martha (Tarrillion) Tips.
Beau met his wife Shirley in Houston, Texas and they were married on June 25, 1988. He graduated in three years from St. Thomas High School and attended college at The University of St. Thomas in San Antonio, Texas and the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, where he majored in English. Beau was an Automotive Parts Manager until he retired in 2012.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Tips, Sr. (June), his mother, Martha Tarrillion, his father-in-law, R.C. Dorman, and his granddaughter, Alexus Womack.
Beau is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shirley; his mother-in-law, LaWonda Dorman; his sons: James Sevier, III (Chantez) and Russell Sevier (Renee); his daughter, Krystal Womack (Mitchell); his ten grandchildren: Steven Welsh (Rachel), Kayleigh Sevier, Cameron Sevier, Sabrina Stepp, Kinzey Babineaux (Clay), Mykenna Sevier, Andrew Womack, and James Womack; his one great-grandson, Liam Murphy; his sisters: Colleen Tips, Karen Rieger (Sam), and Joyce King (Kenneth); his brothers: Pat Tips (Shirley), and David Tips; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and countless friends.
Beau enjoyed reading, fishing, horse racing, and watching is favorite football team, The Cowboys, as well as The Texans and all college football teams. He also enjoyed taking his grandchildren grocery shopping.
Beau will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends and all those whose life he touched.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff of Memorial Hermann the Woodlands Hospital, Oasis Hospice, and Park Manor of The Woodlands for their exceptional care during the final stages of his life.
Beau's Celebration of Life will be on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm at McNutt Funeral Home located at 1703 Porter Road in Conroe, Texas with reception to follow in McNutt's Texas Hall.
