Robert Tipton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services - Ladson on Mar. 8, 2026.
Robert Leroy "Bob" Tipton, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1939, in Miami, Florida. Bob proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. Throughout his life he worked as both an automotive and aviation mechanic, known by many as a true jack-of-all-trades. If something needed fixing, Bob was the one people called. He was hardworking, dependable, and always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. Above all else, Bob loved his family deeply. He shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, his wife, Janice Ann Tipton. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Bob was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his three children: David Tipton and his wife Lori, Mark Tipton and his wife Jennifer, and Diane and her husband Jeff. He was the proud grandfather of Christopher, Joshua, Mathew, Michael, Jordan, Jamie, and Brandon. He was also the cherished great-grandfather of Jackson, Nicholas, Lucy, Marshal, August, and Hazel. Bob was a man of strong faith who placed his trust in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His life was a reflection of that faith as he faithfully served his family and cared for those around him. His kindness, wisdom, and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who knew him. Robert "Bob" Tipton leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication to family that will continue through the generations he helped raise. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Daddy was honored by everyone who knew him, especially by his children throughout his life. His decision expressed to us, was to not have a traditional service. His only request was to have his ashes joined with his beloved bride. So we will honor his wishes and have our own intimate family gathering at a later date. We appreciate your kind words, sentiments and prayers through this time.
