It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Robert "Robbie" Lee Travis. Born on January 30, 1962, in Henderson County, North Carolina, Robbie departed this world in the early morning hours of Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the age of 63, following a brief illness at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill.
Robbie was a man whose life was defined by his hard work and deep-seated love for those around him. He dedicated many years to his career at Carolina Ready Mix & Builders Supply, where he was known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Yet, it was outside the workplace, beneath the open skies and amidst nature's beauty, where Robbie truly thrived. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished every moment spent fishing with his beloved daughter, Addison, his inseparable sidekick. Whether riding his motorcycle for charitable causes or cooking up delicious meals for family and friends, Robbie lived each day with joy and purpose.
Above all, family was at the heart of Robbie's world. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 30 years, Pam O'Neal Travis, who stood by his side through life's journey. His legacy continues through his two daughters, Kimberly Fullerton and Addison O'Neal, and the precious grandchildren who brought him immense pride, Emma Lee Fullerton and Henry Fullerton.
Robbie is also survived by his loving parents, Curt and Levina Pace, and Joe Travis. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his two sisters, Sheila Swofford (Mark) and Valerie Mintz (Preston), and in the bond he shared with his cousin, Darren Jones (Melanie), like a brother to him. A vast network of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends are left to cherish the memories of a man whose kindness and generosity knew no bounds.
Robbie is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ashley B. Fullerton, who passed away on June 24, 2024, and no doubt, they are reunited now.
In honor of Robbie's remarkable life, a celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Naples Baptist Church in Hendersonville. We invite all who knew and loved him to gather as we celebrate the life of a remarkable man who inspired us all to embrace life with passion and love.
Though Robbie may have left this physical world, his spirit and love will forever remain in our hearts. He taught us the value of hard work, the joy of adventure, and above all, the importance of family. May his soul rest in peace, enveloped in the warmth of the love he so freely gave.
