Robert Lawrence Tuchscherer

Menasha - "Bob", 89, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2021 after a short stay in the hospice residence at Cherry Meadows in Appleton WI. Bob was born in Menasha, WI to Edward P.P. and Mary J. Tuchscherer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his youth, a passion that he maintained throughout his life. Bob went to St Mary's High School in Menasha. He met the love of his life, Barbara Mullen, shortly after he graduated, and they were married in November of 1955. They had four children: Mary M Tuchscherer (Suzanne Auger), John E Tuchscherer (Diane Feistel), Ellen A Tuchscherer (Heinz) and Thomas R Tuchscherer (Roxanne Diem Drews). They lived in Appleton where Bob was a fire-fighter and a carpenter until 2004. They had a wonderful life filled with a shared love of family outings, boating, fishing, and collecting antiques. Barbara passed away in 2007 and Thomas in 2013. Since then, he and Ellen shared a home together in Menasha.

Bob has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him: Sara Heinz Schumann (Brad Schumann, Ann-Marie, and David), Steven Heinz (Jessica Nissen Heinz, Aubrey and Madalynn), and Sean Heinz (Stacy August, Tiana); Kristen Tuchscherer Featherly (Travis Featherly, Mateo and Charli), Andrew R. Tuchscherer, Joe Feistel (Emily Virnig Feistel, Scarlett, Sofia, Stella), and Jeff Feistel (Jen Packard Feistel, Aislyn); Anthony Tuchscherer, (Elias), Jason Diem (Lucas and Devin), and Savannah Burow. It was the joy of his life to know and love them.

Both Bob and Barbara were blessed with many kind friends and neighbors. His family would like to thank you all for being a part of our parents' lives.

The funeral mass will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church (312 S. State St.) in Appleton on Tuesday May 4, 2021 at 11 AM with visitation at the church starting at 10 AM. Lunch will follow the Mass and Bob will be laid to rest at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.
