Robert (Bob) F. Van Fleet entered this world on July 13, 1940, and departed on September 11, 2025. Bob was born to Frank Lambert Van Fleet and Maretta Jane (Higgs – Van Fleet) Miller in Farmington UT. Bob met and fell in love with Glenda Mae (Wood) Van Fleet and they married on March 17, 1960, and together they had two children, Shelly (Van Fleet) Ropolo and Troy R. Van Fleet. Bob worked for Ford Motor Credit for 32 years which took Bob and his family to San Ramon, CA where they remained for many years, until 1994 when Bob and Glenda returned to Kaysville, UT and where Bob resided until his death.
Bob is survived by his wife and daughter, son-in-law Richard S. Ropolo, daughter-in-law Jan (Thompson - Terry) Van Fleet, sisters Linda (Van Fleet) Housley and Vickie (Miller) Butterfield, five grandchildren and their spouses Ryan Ropolo (Jessie Ropolo), Ryan Terry, Joe Ropolo (Amanda Ropolo), Ashley Sorensen (Nate Sorensen) and Jaxon Van Fleet, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Remember good times shared with Bob. Picture Bob reunited with his son and the two of them out golfing together on a beautiful sunny morning. Believe that Bob is happy.
Bob, Dad, grandpa, grandpa-great and uncle, you were loved and will be missed and may you rest in peace.
A viewing will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, located at 1941 North Main St, Farmington, UT, on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 6-8 pm. A viewing will be held at the Baer Creek Ward, located at, 1282 West 1875 North, Farmington, UT, Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10:45 am – 11:45 am, followed by funeral services at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at the Kaysville Cemetery.
