Robert J. Vanasse, age 82, formerly of Little Falls and most recently of Fern Park, FL passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 in Florida.

Robert was born on July 10, 1941, in Little Falls son of the late James and Lucile (Brown) Vanasse. Robert was predeceased by his first two wives; Joan Randall Vanasse, Elizabeth (Bills) Vanasse, a brother; William Atutis, a daughter; Faith Thogode and his stepson; Robert Bills.  Robert graduated from Little Falls High School and then went on to serve in the US Army from 1960-1963. He later worked and retired from his position as a car hauler for thirty seven years working in Mahwah, NJ, Buffalo, NY and Georgetown, KY.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Pauline "Betsy" (Pronevitch) Atutis, children, Robert Vanasse, Jr. (Dolgeville, NY), Lisa Vanasse (Ilion, NY) Rachel Nuborazek Wilson (Frankfort, NY); brother, Peter Atutis, Jr. and special niece; Patricia Atutis (Fern Park, FL).  Robert is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 12:00 on July 13, 2024, at Rural Park Cemetery, Ingham Mills.  Cremation took place in Central Florida. There are no calling hours.  Local services are being planned under the direction and care of Daniel J. Enea-Director at Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131.
