Robert E.J. Vandale

EAST BROOKFIELD: Robert E.J. Vandale, 92, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Jean H. (Hobbs) Vandale.
Bob is survived by his children, Mark R. Vandale and his wife Laurie, Lisa Ann Lynch and her husband Andrew, and Jeffrey H. Vandale and his wife Mona; 7 grandchildren, Susan, Stephen, Robert, Jeffrey, Christopher, Alyda, and Maddie; and 4 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kayne, Kayble and Solomon. He was predeceased by his brother, Norman Vandale.
Bob was born and raised in Spencer, son of the late Ernest & Yvonne (Brunelle) Vandale. He attended David Prouty High School and graduated from Bridgeton Academy in Maine. Bob received his Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Massachusetts. He also served in the Army during the Korean War. Bob worked for many years at the Fair Department Store, retiring as a manager.
Bob was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church of Spencer. He enjoyed bowling, bird watching at the beach, and ice fishing with his brother.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
