Robert was survived by his children, Robert P. Via, John D. Via and Cindy L. Via. He was also survived John's and Cindy's spouses; Althea Via and Hank Tatro and by his grandchildren; Ford Taylor, John M. Via, Sam Tatro and Brooklyn Henry.
Robert was born on September 14, 1928 in Fireco, WV and obtained a doctorate degree in Health Admintration and was Chief Executive Officer at the Hospital Hospital in Huntington WV before retiring after working 10 years in in Saudia Arabia as a consultant in Health Care Management.
Robert was a devoted husband to Jenna L. Via who passed on January 12, 2013. He was a graduate of West Virginia University and was a life long Mountaineer fan. As a testament to Robert's drive as an over achiever, he obtained his real estate license in 2014 at the age of 86. He was admired by many and respected by all. He will be missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
