William Robert "Bert" Voegele Jr., 60, of Benbrook, TX, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2025. He was born on January 3, 1965, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to Sue Voegele and the late William Robert "Bud" Voegele. When he was young, Robert and his family moved to Fort Worth, where he later graduated from Western Hills High School, Class of 1983. He enjoyed playing football and building friendships that lasted throughout his life.
Robert went on to attend electrical school, earning his journeyman license, and eventually becoming a master electrician. His career path reflected his hardworking spirit and versatility: he worked in electrical trades, spent time in Fayetteville, AR, helping on his uncle's quarter horse farm, and later joined Best Buy as a home theater installer. After meeting Missy, Robert eventually moved back to Fort Worth to be with her, continuing his work with Best Buy before starting his own independent electrical and installation work.
On May 28, 2011, Robert married Missy, with whom he shared fourteen wonderful years of love. He was a devoted husband, son, stepfather, brother, and friend, known for his humor, kindness, and ability to brighten any room.
He is survived by his wife, Missy; stepchildren, Madison Byerley (Zach) and Josh Rodriguez (Brittany); mother, Sue Voegele; sisters, Julie Voegele and Melissa Hale (Bob) and their daughter, Conner; and mother-in-law, Linda Hopper.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Robert "Bud" Voegele, and father-in-law, Mike Hopper.
Robert cherished time with family and friends and was especially proud to be part of the WHHS Class of '83. He grew up as a longtime member of Western Hills United Methodist Church, where he shared his love of music as a drummer. More recently, he joined Benbrook United Methodist Church, where he found fellowship and community.
Robert will be remembered for his generous spirit, his sense of humor, and his gift for making everyone feel like family. His motto, "No bad days," is a reminder of the way he lived his life and the legacy he leaves behind.
A service to celebrate Robert's life will be held at Benbrook United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Petty officiating.
