It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bobby" Waggoner, aged 58, of Big Clifty, Kentucky, who departed this world on Friday, August 1, 2025.
Bobby was a beacon of love and kindness, cherished as a devoted son, father, brother, papaw, and friend. He had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met, always ready to share a story or a laugh. For over a decade, he worked as a production operator at AGC, where he formed lasting friendships that brought joy to his life. In his free time, Bobby indulged his passion for cooking and creating delightful new recipes, but nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren. Bobby was known for his generosity, often extending a helping hand to those in need, leaving a legacy of compassion that will resonate in the hearts of many.
Born on October 4, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Bobby was the loving son of Leon and Margaret (Crowe) Waggoner, who proceeded him in death. He leaves behind a loving family that will carry his memory forward: his cherished son, John Waggoner; his daughter, Leashea (Dorian) Davis; his dear sisters, Christine Norwood, Valarie (Adam) Aubrey, Amanda Smitty; and his brother, Rick Lowe. His precious grandchildren, Kellel Burch, Geneva Burch, James Davis, Vince Davis, Charly Davis, and Andrew Williams, will forever treasure their memories of their “Papaw.” Additionally, he is survived by his foster mother, Sharon McIntire, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will hold him dear in their hearts.
A visitation in celebration of Bobby's life will take place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
In honor of Bobby's spirit, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in his memory to the Kentucky Humane Society, reflecting his love for all living beings.
