Robert "Bob" Weems, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 18, 2025, at his home in Eagle Point, Oregon surrounded by his family and life long best friend, Jack Huckaba. Born on December 31, 1933, in Brownsfield, Texas, Bob lived a full and vibrant life that spanned 91 remarkable years. Bob's journey began in the heart of Texas, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors. His passion for nature was only matched by his dedication to his family. Bob's warm presence and passion for life touched everyone he met. In his passing, Bob leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Ilene Weems, who stood by his side as a partner and confidante. Together, they built a family foundation strong enough to support the dreams and aspirations of their children: Kenneth Weems, Debra Laurence, Dora Overs, Diane Piston, Recinda Smart, Elinda Johnson, Robert Weems, Larry Weems, Eddie Weems, and Colleen Sager. Their spouses, Michael Overs, Steve Piston, Brett Johnson, and the rest of the family, were an extension of Bob's love and were embraced as his own. Bob was a jack of all trades, and his hands were rarely still. He was known for his ability to fix anything, a skill that was as much a part of his legacy as his loving nature. His children and their spouses will forever remember the lessons he taught, not only through his words but through the example of his hard work and determination. The legacy of Bob's loving and passionate spirit will live on through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
