Robert Lee Wegman, 68, of Frank went to be with Jesus Sunday, July 20, 2025, at his home.

Robert was born Monday, August 20, 1956, in Elkins, a son of the late Charles Wegman and Lele Markley Wegman. In 1976, he married the former Debbie Teter who survives.

Nickname "Smiley" because he always had a smile on his face, gum in his pocket, and a prayer in his heart. With an infectious laugh, brilliant spirit, and compassionate heart he captivated everyone who had the honor to meet him.

Robert attended the schools of Randolph County and was employed by Judy Fencecraft for thirty years.

Robert most recently attended Thornwood Community Church, where he also taught Sunday School classes before stepping away to care for his invalid wife.

Robert was preceded in death by five brothers, Junior, Jim, Bill, Franklin, and Phillip and two sisters, Ettie Grey and Edith Byrd.

Left to cherish Robert's memory along with his wife are three brothers, Rex Wegman and wife, Sonya, John Wegman and wife, Sandy, and Stanley Wegman and partner, Pam Howard, one sister, Mary Miller and partner, Tom Jones, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends who always enjoyed his talks, his stories, and all his "by golly yeah's".

Above everything else, "Uncle Robert" was a man of faith who remained loyal to his vows to God and mankind.

Romans 8:18 – "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later."

Robert's request for cremation was honored.
