Robert Lewis Weingard, age 84, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 23, 1941, he was a son of the late Irving and Ida (Yunosofs) Weingard. Robert was a graduate of Curry College, and then began his career as a research specialist. He later worked for Miles Scientific and Sakura as a national sales director until his retirement.

Robert often looked forward to his next trip to explore some place new with his wife, Martha. He had a passion for photography and loved wild life. Finding joy in the little things, Robert loved reading and cooking a meal for his family. He could often be found watching musicals.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Martha Ann (Dionne) Weingard; children, Stephen Weingard, Stacey Fujiwara, and Michael Weingard (Lauren); grandchildren, Adam, Kaitlyn, Alexa, and Bradley; sister, Barbara Matranga (Peter); brothers-in-law and their families, Mark, Robert, Richard, Michael, John and James; nieces and nephew and their families, David Sigadel, Ellen Levenberg, and Susan Sorscher; and close friends, Tim and Peg Corder, Randy and Jendi Gantt, Robert and Debbie Edmonston, David and Cheryl Leatherwood, Rob Cappelletti, Roy Anderson, and William and Pat Webb.

A graveside service will begin at 1 pm on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Columbia Memorial Park, 12005 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Foundation, Hayden Burns, Director, 1721 North Boulevard, Houston, TX 77098 or online by clicking here.
