Robert "Bobby" Martin Weir, 43, of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on June 21, 2011. The relatives and friends of Bobby Weir are invited to attend a Celebration of Bobby's Life in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011. . The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Bobby was born in Smithtown, Long Island, NY on August 8, 1967, son of Robert "Bob" Weir and Carolyn Michels Hunter. A graduate of Johnson-Wales University and was a four year veteran of the U.S. Army. He owned and operated a successful power washing business "Coastal Hydropower" with his three sons for the past 8 years.
Bobby is survived by his loving sons, Cody Allen Weir, 16, Dylan Jamie Weir, 16, and Tanner Charles Weir, 14, all of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his father, Bob Weir of Orlando, FL; his mother, Carolyn Hunter of Port St. Lucie, FL; his brother, Jamie Weir of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; and his sisters, Sharon Sweazey of Philipsburg, NJ and Sandra Hegel of Brigantine, NJ. Bobby enjoyed the beach, kayaking with his sons and guiding them through the decisions of life. Bobby's passion and intensity for life was only outweighed by the love he had for each of his three sons. Bobby will be sadly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "The Weir Sons College Fund," c/o SunTrust Bank, 276 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
