Robert J. Weitzell, 42 of Portland Maine passed away unexpectedly on March 6,2025.
He was born on May 5,1982 along with a twin sister April, to Florence and Walter Weitzell.
Robert was a free spirit. He enjoyed being out in the community, meeting new people.
Robert enjoyed spending time with family and making us all laugh. He liked playing cards and family-oriented games.
Roberts' biggest passion was cooking and creating new dishes. He previously worked at DiMillos, The Great Lost Bear, and Cornerstone, to name a few. Robert also collected tiny trinkets, that he would find amongst his travels.
Robert was predeceased by both parents, Walter Weitzell and Florence Weitzell, grandfather Walter Weitzell, his loving grandmother Alice Weitzell.
Robert survived by his twin sister, April Porter and her fiancé Andrew Clement of Westbrook. Stepmother Jackie Weitzell. A brother Walter and his wife Jen of Florida. A sister Laura Leighton and her husband Jacob of Lewiston. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
