Robert "Bob" A. Wells Jr. Robert "Bob" A. Wells Jr., 79, of Charlottesville, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, and founder of Intrastate Pest Control, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 14, 2013. He was born on August 16, 1933, in Charlottesville, to the late Robert A. and Elizabeth Wells, and was preceded in death by his brother, Charles William Wells; and his grandparents, Charles and Annie Boland. Bob is survived by his wife of two months short of 60 years, Dolores Morris Wells; two sons, Gregory L. Wells and his wife, Barbara Sartin Wells, of Lake Monticello, and Robert "Bobby" A. Wells III and his wife, Peggy Clarkson Wells, of Charlottesville; five grandchildren, Stephanie Wells Rhodes and husband, Larry Rhodes, Cameron Wells Marsh and husband, Chris Marsh, Gregory L. Wells II and wife, Casey Davis Wells, Tiffany Wells, and Lauren Wells; eight great-grandchildren, Corrin Rhodes, Brennan Rhodes, Connor Marsh, Gracie Marsh, Camden Marsh, Gregory Wells III, Ethan Wells, and Makayla Wells; three sisters, Betty Wells Bingler and husband, David, Peggy Wells Holsapple and Hilda Wells Fisher; and his two precious Shelties, Tobbi and Chloe. He attended Lane High School in Charlottesville, Virginia. He served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1954 during the Korean War earning a rank of Sergeant. He received the following accommodations: Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Medal with three Service Stars and National Defense Service Medal. Bob established Intrastate Pest Control in 1969, as a one man company and when he turned Intrastate Pest Control over to his family in 2009, he had built Intrastate into a 45 employee company with multi locations. He was a dedicated active member of First Baptist Church on Park Street and Gideon International. Through Bob's work and leadership with Gideon International, over 75,000 testaments were distributed throughout our community over his 14 years of service. He also was a Charter Member of the Charlottesville Albemarle Rescue Squad, and he along with the other original members actually applied the vehicle decals on the FIRST C.A.R.S. unit. A celebration of life service will be officiated by Dr. Joel Jenkins at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at First Baptist Church on Park Street, Charlottesville, Virginia. The interment service immediately follows at Monticello Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Park Street. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideon International, Charlottesville Albemarle Rescue Squad, First Baptist Church, Park Street or Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA. I am continually blessed by wonderful memories of Bob Wells. He was a excellent man of Christian character who faithfully served our Charlottesville Camp of the Gideons International with dedication. It was my privilege to have known him.

I asked Cher, Sonny's wife, about you guys a couple of weeks ago as I had not seen you in Williamsburg this past winter. She said she would ask Sonny---tonight she told me the sad news!
