Robert G. Werner, Sr.

Werner, Robert G. Sr., 88, of Mapleton Depot, passed away on September 16, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. Born June 20, 1937, in Shirleysburg, son of the late Glenn and Mary (Smith) Werner. Also preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline (Weller); son, Gregory Werner; daughter-in-law, Gloria Jean; and sister, Sandra Brumbaugh. Survived by his children, Edward (Della) Werner, Penny (Dale) Imler, Robert Werner Jr., and Gini (Chris) Werner. Also survived by his 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Robert was a graduate of Mount Union Area High School, later serving in the PA National Guard. He was a heavy equipment operator at U.S. Silica, retiring after 40 years, and was a dedicated member of the IOOF Mount Hor #736. Robert loved his family and friends and greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and completing word searches. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the Bowmans Chapel Cemetery, Pastor Bradley Zembower, officiant.
