Robert Wiest Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Adams Funeral Home - Woodstown on Jan. 18, 2024.
Robert D. Wiest Jr., age 70, went home to be with the Lord January 16th, 2024, after a brief illness. Bob is a lifelong Woodstown resident, graduating from Woodstown High School in 1972. Shortly after high school, Bob joined the U.S. Navy and was proud to be a Seabee honorably discharged in 1977. A very talented carpenter, he loved building homes all around New Jersey and was a licensed HHS Building Inspector.
Bob shared with his family his love of nature, photography, and traveling to the Eastern Shore, especially Virginia Beach. An avid NASCAR fan visiting numerous racetracks and even took the wheel in a race car for 8 exciting laps at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Annual trips to see The USAF Thunderbirds and Navy Blue Angels Air Shows where his photography skills soared. The Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway were all time family favorites, too. The past few years the things that truly brought him joy were family time, especially with the Grandchildren and going to a church service with Donna.
Bob was predeceased by his father and mother, Dave and Betty Lou Wiest (VanCulin), sister Linda, brother Richard and nieces Karen and Lauren.
He is the beloved Spouse of Donna (Hunt) for 33 years and devoted father to daughter Kelly, sons Robert III and Bill (Kim). He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers Ed (Val) & John (Dana), sister Kathy, grandchildren Madison, Ismael, Kylie, Kameron, Billy Jr. and one beautiful little great granddaughter Savannah Rose. He also will be greatly missed by his beloved kitty cats Chrissy Girl, Robin, Gracie and his constant companion, Angel.
A memorial service will be held at the Woodstown Presbyterian Church, 46 Auburn Road, Woodstown, NJ 08098 on January 20th, 2024 with visitation beginning at 10:00am and service at 11:00am. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Salem County Humane Society, PO Box 214, Carneys Point, NJ 08069. www.adamsfuneralhome.org
