A funeral service for Robert Clifton Wilkerson, 75, of Cleburne, will be conducted on Monday, March 16, 2026, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel, 512 N. Ridgeway Dr. Cleburne, with Mr. Todd Barham officiating, Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at the funeral home on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the funeral home.
Robert Clifton Wilkerson, a beloved figure and steadfast cornerstone of his family, passed away on March 7, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born on July 8, 1950, in Cleburne, Texas, Robert led a life marked by kindness, integrity, and unwavering strength. He married Soon Jung on August 12, 1985 in Seoul, Korea.
As an Army Veteran who served 12 years, with honor as an E7 First Sergeant, Robert displayed the same dedication and loyalty to his family that he exhibited in the military. He was a man who carried himself with quiet strength, understated yet resolute, and always chose to stand by his principles, demonstrating what it means to be a true gentleman.
Those who knew Robert will remember him for his loving spirit, sweetness, and innate ability to connect with others. His compassion knew no bounds, and he truly loved everyone. He was often seen as the rock of his family, providing unwavering support and guidance to all who sought it.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Wofford Earnest and Thelma Nettie (Grey) Wilkerson; sister,, Doys Hughs; brothers, Gary Wilkerson and John Wilkerson.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Soon Wilkerson; sons, John Wofford Wilkerson and wife, Mia, and Robert Earnest Wilkerson; daughter, Monica Spurgeon and husband, Kyle; grandchildren, Samantha Wilkerson, Robert Wilkerson, Michelle Wilkerson, Artur Wilkerson, Kayden Spurgeon and Autumn Spurgeon; brother, Elmer Wilkerson and wife, Melonie, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Robert's legacy is one of love and respect, and he remains in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His gentle disposition and strong moral compass will be dearly missed by all.
