Robert Williams

Robert Earl Williams entered into eternal rest on November 16, 2024 at the hour of 7:15 pm. Robert was born on March 16, 1954 in Fuquay-Varina, NC to the late Lacy and Ruby Williams. Robert was the youngest of eight children.
Robert spent his young adult years driving cabs in Boston MA before relocating his family to North Carolina. While residing in North Carolina, Robert worked for the city of Fayetteville as a bus driver. Robert eventually retired from the workforce as a truck driver.
Robert enjoyed watching old Westerns and cooking shows. He also enjoyed playing pool and golf. Robert loved soul food; especially fried green tomatoes.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Lacy and Ruby Williams, three brothers Ernest Jr, Billie Ray, and Eddie B, and one sister Dorothy Lee Yarn.
Robert leaves behind to mourn his absence; two sisters; Lillie Ruth Elliot of Philadelphia PA, and Barbara Sammy of Boston MA, one brother; Floyd Williams of Boston MA, five children; Renee Leach of Raleigh NC, Kareem Hokett of Boston, MA, Erica Hokett of Hope Mills, NC, Herschel Wiliams of White Plains, MD, and Deidra Williams of Fayetteville, NC, two grandchildren; Izaiah and Aleah as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Service, Thursday, November 21, 2024 in the Dolan Funeal Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, at 3 o'clock. Visiting Hour 2 - 3 pm. Visiting Hours, Tuesday November 26, 2024, in the Wiseman Mortuary, 427 Cumberland Street, Fayetteville, NC, 10 - 12PM.
