Robert M. Williams, age 87, of Akron, OH, passed away peacefully February 17, 2025, with his family beside him. A wonderful father, leader, and friend to many.
Bob was born February 11, 1938 and lived his life as a simple, happy, person who had so much love for his family. He enjoyed family gatherings, especially vacations in Canada and spending time on the boat. He loved his church and had a strong belief in God.
He worked at Goodyear for 45 years, starting in the mailroom and worked his way up to being the manager of the data processing center. Bob was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
Bob is survived by his treasured children, Kimberly (David) Slate, Robert (Jamie) Williams, Rhea (Dennis) Raney, Beth (Mark Steinkerchner) Humbel, and Scott Boso; cherished grandchildren, Michael (Samantha) Slate, Jarrod (Savannah) Raney, Joseph (Julie Ann) Williams, Christopher Humbel, Cara (Eddie) Campbell, and Rebecca (Ben) Varner; beloved great grandchildren, Averie, Lincoln, Rhett, Nora, Tesni, Teddy, Liam, Rory, Jack, Olivia, Noah, and Lilly; loving siblings, Carl (Sandy) Williams and Jeanie Kearns; dearest nieces, Jocelyn Steiskal, Tiffany (Brad) Geeslin, Jennifer (Aaron) Coe, and Miriam (Jim) Duerr.
Friends may call SUNDAY, February 23, 2025, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, OH 44333 from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM. Memorial service will commence at 4:30 PM with Justin Metz and David Harris officiating.
