They were partners in their business ventures as well, In 1992, the two decided to pursue a venture in motel hospitality. They traveled across the country auditing, learning and connecting with people from all walks of life. Janet preceded Bill in death on June 28, 2025.

Bill was a philanthropist and committed to the Lebanon community. although over the years Bill contributed to a wide variety of projects and organizations, most notably for him, was contributing the principle funding for Electrical Distribution Systems, the lineman program through Ozarks Technical Community College. The growth and continued success of the program was something Bill took great pride in. He was also a major contributor to bringing the Lake Regional Clinic and Surgical Facility to Lebanon.

Those preceding him in death include his parents; his wife, Janet; and his stepmother, Marie.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
