Robert Earl "Bob" Williamson, 78, passed away on January 29, 2026, in
Wichita Falls, Texas. He was born on April 28, 1947, in
Clovis, New Mexico, and grew up in Sudan, Texas, where the values of hard work, service, and integrity were instilled early and remained with him throughout his life.
Bob proudly served in the United States Navy, training alongside the U.S. Marine Corps. He was stationed at Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as a medic assigned to the operating room. During this time, he participated in some of the earliest heart transplant surgeries in the world, an extraordinary chapter in medical history that reflected both his technical skill and calm presence under pressure. During his military service, Bob also took part in the Presidential Inauguration of President Richard Nixon, an experience he regarded with pride. His service to country remained a defining part of who he was.
Following his military service, Bob built an accomplished career in finance and accounting, becoming a respected Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Over the course of his career, he served in senior financial leadership roles at Wright Brand Foods in Vernon, Texas, and Master Meter, among other organizations. His work took him across the Vernon, Fort Worth, and Wichita Falls regions and beyond, where he influenced and mentored hundreds of professionals.
Known as an astute businessman with sound judgment and unwavering integrity, Bob was equally remembered for his good humor, playful practical jokes, and ability to bring levity to demanding environments. He left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike, not only for his professional excellence but for the warmth and encouragement he brought to every relationship.
Bob and his beloved wife, Marsha Williamson, shared a life grounded in partnership, faith, and family. Together they raised two sons, instilling values of discipline, curiosity, and service. One son followed Bob's professional path to become a CPA and CFO, while the other pursued a career as an electrical engineer-both reflections of Bob's influence as a father and mentor.
Bob is survived by his wife, Marsha Williamson (77); his children Kurtis Williamson (48) and his spouse Angela (47), and their children Harley (25), fiancé Chandler, and Teri Kate (24), fiancé Dylan, and great-granddaughter Amelia (16 months); and Dustin Williamson (50) and his spouse Julie (49), and their children Lauren (21), Aaron (19), Emily (17), and Claire (12). He is also survived by his brother Harry Williamson and his spouse Martha, and his sister Louise Munden and her spouse Bill.
In retirement, Bob and Marsha made their home in Pecan Plantation in
Granbury, Texas, where Bob embraced a life centered on family, faith, and community. He enjoyed golf, time with family and friends, and volunteering at the local food bank through Lakeside Baptist Church, quietly continuing a lifelong commitment to service.
A Celebration of Life ceremony is being planned in
