Robert Wilson Obituary
He was born June 1, 1966, in Butler, the son of the late James Robert and Sandra Lee (Deal) Wilson.
Bob had a big heart. He enjoyed giving gifts and making crafts. He had a knack for taking things apart and fixing things. He loved going camping, swimming and riding bikes. One of his favorite restaurants was the Chinese buffet.
Most of all, Bob was a true kid at heart, and loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his siblings, James Bryan (Keith Combs) Wilson of Ypsilanti, Mich., Susan Nickle, Lorie Clever and Tony (Tonya) Wilson, all of Butler, Michael (Lindsey) Wilson of Benton, Ill. and James Robert "J.R." Wilson of East Butler; and several nieces and nephews that were special to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
WILSON - There will be a celebration of life service for Robert Lyle "Bob" Wilson, who died Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at 6 p.m. Friday at Hampton Inn, 400 Benevan Square, Butler.
Burial will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler

I had the joy of working with Robert at Snyder. We really had a connection. He would ask for me all the time. The other would call him my son. I will truly miss him. I planted a tree in honor of him.

A heart too full, a mind misplaced.
The weight of loss, too soon, too vast-
I had no time to grasp, to ask.
Your absence hung in heavy air,
Yet all I found was blank despair.
No phrase felt right, no comfort clear,
So I stood voiceless, stuck in fear.
I hadn´t yet begun to grieve,
To gather thoughts, to dare believe
That you were gone, that you were dust-
My tongue was bound in brittle trust.
And though I said no soft goodbye,
I hope you felt the silent cry,
For words, they fail, they slip away-
But in my heart, you´ll always stay.
